Shell Enters Into Agreement With Knowledge Systems

Knowledge Systems, a leading provider of advanced subsurface hazard analysis software and services, has entered into an agreement with Shell to supply its geopressure analysis software for inclusion in the Shell Software Suite.

Shell licensed the DRILLWORKS/PREDICT software for use in geopressure analysis before, during, and after drilling. The DRILLWORKS Family of software has consistently proven valuable to operators and service providers for accurate geopressure analysis, including real time analysis while drilling. It has been used throughout the world to analyze and predict geopressures and improve drilling operations. The agreement allows Shell to take advantage of the DRILLWORKS/PREDICT software to analyze and predict geopressures in their drilling operations. The agreement also includes periodic training for Shell’s operating units.
