Forest Oil has commended initial production from its Narraway 3-24 well located in the foothills of Alberta, Canada. The dual zone well was brought on-line at a combined gross rate of 14 MMcfe/d. Forest has a 55 percent working interest in the field and is the operator. Forest is currently deepening the 11-23 well to the 3-24 producing zones. Additional new drilling is planned after spring breakup, with three wells scheduled in Narraway this year.
In the Gulf of Mexico, the Vermilion 102 A-1 No. 1 well discovered 130 feet of pay in two gas bearing sands. The well is currently producing at an approximate gross rate of 17 MMcfe/d with a flowing tubing pressure of 3,700 PSI. Forest has a 100 percent working interest in the field and is the operator.
