MGM Energy: Atik P-19 Well to Be Abandoned

MGM Energy Corp. reported the results of its Atik P-19 well drilled in the western Mackenzie Delta.

As previously reported, the Atik well had encountered a number of zones of interest. Upon testing of these zones, however, it became apparent that the well contained only minor quantities of hydrocarbons. As a result, MGM Energy will abandon the well this winter season.

Drilling continues at Aput, MGM Energy's second well of this year's program. Intermediate casing has been set and cemented, and it is expected that drilling to final target depth will commence shortly.
