Hallin Marine, the AIM quoted provider of subsea solutions to the oil and gas industry, has further strengthened its management team by appointing Paul Bundy as its Chief Operating Officer, reporting to the board.
John Giddens will retain overall responsibility for the group's business as Chief Executive and Paul will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, which will allow John to concentrate on implementing the growth strategy of the group.
Paul, 50, has more than 30 years experience within the marine and offshore industries. Most recently he has held senior positions within the Swire Pacific Offshore group of companies, including regional General Manager in Middle East and West Africa. He joins Hallin from a Swire/Hutchison Whampoa maritime vessel management company in Australia where he was general manager and a director.
A UK qualified Master Mariner, Paul worked his way up from a deck cadet and has extensive experience of both offshore operations and shore based management. Each organisation Paul has managed has shown impressive growth under his stewardship.
Hallin CEO John Giddens said, "We are delighted to welcome Paul Bundy to Hallin as the Company's COO. His energy, enthusiasm and experience will be great assets to the Company.
"Given the increasing importance vessel ownership and operation will have to the Company as we move forward, Paul's extensive maritime knowledge and experience will be invaluable and will complement our excellent existing management team."
The Company is also pleased to announce that John Barry Quinn, formerly a director of the Company, who resigned on April 4, 2006 because of other business commitments, has rejoined the board of the Company as Non-Executive Director, replacing Malcolm Quinn, who has resigned from the board with immediate effect.A
