Nigerian Army: Total Worker Kidnapped In Port Harcourt

Gunmen in Nigeria's oil hub Port Harcourt kidnapped three Nigerians--one oil company employee and two toddlers--in two separate incidents Monday night and Tuesday, a military officer said.

The oil worker was identified as the secretary to an executive with French oil company Total SA (TOT). She was kidnapped on her way home from church Monday night, Lieutenant-Colonel Musa Sagir of the Joint Task Force, the unit tasked with policing the Niger Delta, told AFP Tuesday.

The two children - whose father is a local businessmen, were seized in a separate incident as they were being driven to their creche Tuesday morning.
