Veraz Petroleum Unseats Auditor

Veraz Petroleum Ltd. reported that Lancaster & David has resigned as auditor and KPMG LLP has become the new auditor of the Company.

The resignation of Lancaster & David was instigated by the decision of the Company to change its year-end from January 31 to December 31 and the change in the Company's corporate jurisdiction and head office from British Columbia to Alberta. The Company has delivered to Lancaster & David the change of auditor notice required by National Instrument 51-102 ("NI 51-102") and will include the reporting package (as defined in NI 51-102) in the management information circular for the annual shareholder meeting expected to be held in the latter half of 2008 to, among other things, receive the audited financial statements for the period ended December 31, 2007.
