PSA Issues Order to StatoilHydro Following Audit
During the period 22 August to 6 November 2007, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of loadbearing structures at Veslefrikk A and B. On the basis of our findings during the audit PSA has issued the following order to StatoilHydro.
During the audit PSA identified nonconformities in relation to regulatory requirements and a notification of order was issued to StatoilHydro in December 2007.
Pursuant to this notification, PSA issued the following order to the company on 12 February 2008:
Pursuant to Section 42 of the Activities Regulations relating to maintenance, StatoilHydro ASA is ordered to document that the integrity of the structures on Veslefrikk is safeguarded so that they can execute their intended functions in all phases of their design life, cf. Chapter 5.1 of the report.
The deadline for complying with the order is set at 30 April 2008. PSA must be notified when the order has been complied with.
The decision may be appealed pursuant to Section 28 of the Public Administration Act.
