Maersk Contractors has ordered the world's largest harsh environment jackup. The rig is a MSC CJ70-150-MC design and will be built at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea. This new jackup will be capable of working in water depths of up to 500 feet in the North Sea including the Norwegian sector. The total leg length of the jackup will be 675 feet.
