Colombia's National Hydrocarbon Agency (ANH) is allowing three new bidding rounds for a total of 151 blocks, reported Business News Americas on its website.

While attending the 3rd Oil and Gas Investment Conference in Cartagena over the weekend, ANH Director Armando Zamora anticipates the involvement of major oil companies during upcoming bidding for eight heavy crude blocks.

Also included will be 43 blocks contained in three onshore areas in northern Colombia. The remaining 100 blocks will be offered in a mini-round. These blocks are located throughout the country.

Zamora stated that the licensing round has been delayed due to a company's legal filing. No further information regarding the legal filing was given.
