Malacca Strait Adds 800 bbl/d with New Frac Program

Following its successful development drilling within the Melibur field and the Production Enhancement Program on the existing fields, Malacca Strait has recently added another 800 bbl/d of oil flow from development wells DC 8 and DC 9 in January through the successful application of the hydraulic fracturing technique.

As a result, Malacca Strait now produces around 9,500 bbl/d. The successful hydraulic fracturing works in the DC field also have positive impact on the surrounding proven tight reservoir opportunities in term of reserve and production capabilities.
