Transerve Pte Ltd delivered the TRAM (Temporary Refuge & Accommodation Module), Helideck and EISR (Electrical & Instrument Switch Room) Modules in January 2008 for the Clough/OMV Maari wellhead platform. The wellhead platform will be installed in the Maari Field, located in the Taranaki Basin, Tasman Sea, off the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The field is located 80 km from the coast and 36 km south of the existing Maui B platform.
The 30 man TRAM module comprises of a two level, single lift structure built to A60/H60 fire ratings. It is fully furnished with living quarters, office, galley, mess, laundry and first aid rooms. It is protected with FM200 Fire Suppression System with the East wall designed for Blast-proofed. An 80 tonnes Helideck structure capable of supporting the landing of Super PUMA 332L supported on the roof of the TRAM Module. The modules will be operating in a salt laden environment under seismic and harsh weather conditions.
The Electrical & Instrument Switch Room or EISR Module is A60/H60 fire rated and supports an electrical operation of 440V 60Hz, housing all required process control & safety instrument systems in two levels. It is protected with FM200 Fire Suppression System and VESDA Detection System with the East wall designed for Blast-proofed.
The design was undertaken by Transerve's Engineering Team in Singapore and fabricated and outfitted at Transerve's yard in Lumut, Malaysia. ABS Technical Services provided the design checks, construction verification and overall safety audit.
