Indonesia will offer only 11 new oil and gas blocks in its latest exploration licensing round after failing to attract much investor interest last year. Later this week in Bali the Indonesia Mines and Energy Ministry will officially announce the opening of 11 blocks for exploration. Last year there were 15 blocks that did not receive any bids. More geology data will be added for those areas that did not attract investors. Of the 11 blocks, six are in East Java province, two are in north Bali, two in Jambi province and one in East Kalimantan.
