Scan Awarded Additional 2D Work Offshore Pakistan by BP/GEMS

SCAN Geophysical ASA acquired an additional 1250 kilometers of 2D work offshore Pakistan from BP/GEMS, increasing the total work program for the contract to about 11,250 kilometers.

"We recently re-commenced acquiring the original 9,500 kilometers 2D program and, with this additional work, our vessel, the M/V Geo Searcher, will be engaged for the next four months or so," said Kjell Karlsson, vice president of sales and marketing for SCAN.

The company is currently operating one 2D and one 3D streamer vessel, and will soon launch one 2002-built 3D vessel and three new-build state-of-the-art 8-10 streamer 3D vessels during 2008/09.
