Galp Takes Shallow Water Block in Brazil's 9th Round
In accordance with the terms of article 248 of the Portuguese Securities Code, Galp Energia, SGPS, hereby discloses the following information:
Galp Energia is taking part in the 9th bidding round for exploratory blocks organized by the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, that is being held on the 27 and 28 of November in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Until now Galp Energia has acquired the Block C-M-593, in the Campos Basin in an area with high potential located on shallow waters, by a total signature bonus for the Block of 15.3 million Brazilian Reais. The winner consortium, where Galp Energia holds a participation of 15%, also includes Petrobras, the operator with 47.5% and Ecopetrol, S.A., with 37.5%.
