Halliburton Names New VPs for Operations Finance and Investor Relations
In his new role, Mr. Garcia will oversee the Company's communications and relationships with investors and analysts. A 12-year Halliburton employee, he became the Company's vice president of Operations Finance in July 2006, and had operational financial and accounting accountabilities across the Company's regional and divisional structures. Prior to that appointment, he served in a variety of roles, including assistant controller, senior director of Corporate Planning and vice president of Finance and Administration for Landmark, a product service line of Halliburton's Drilling and Evaluation Division. Mr. Garcia has a bachelor's degree from the University of the Philippines and a master's degree in business from Purdue University.
As vice president of Operations Finance, Ms. Angelle will oversee operational accounting for the Company's entire regional and divisional reporting structure. Prior to her role as vice president of Investor Relations, she was responsible for external reporting of consolidated financial statements, technical accounting research and consultation and income tax accounting. Before joining Halliburton, she worked in the audit department at Ernst & Young LLP for 15 years. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana. Ms. Angelle is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a Certified Management Accountant.
"Drawing on his varied financial experience, Christian Garcia will bring to our investor relations effort a well-rounded approach and an in-depth familiarity with the Company's operations worldwide," said Cris Gaut, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Halliburton. "As vice president of Investor Relations, Christian's primary responsibility will be ensuring that all investors and analysts have the information they need to accurately assess Halliburton's corporate strategy, financial performance and business opportunities."
"Evelyn Angelle has done an outstanding job managing investor relations during a period of great change for our Company," Gaut added. "In addition to her extensive finance and accounting experience, her broad knowledge of all aspects of Halliburton's business makes her ideally suited for this new role."
