Dawn-1 Exploration Well Finds Hydrocarbons

The Dawn-1 well is located in TL/1 approximately 3.8 kilometers northeast of the Linda gas and condensate field and 20 kilometers northeast of Varanus Island. The well has drilled to a revised total depth of 2,711 meters measured depth (2,588.8 meters true vertical depth subsea). Currently, drill pipe is being removed and preparations are being made to run logs to evaluate a 33-meter hydrocarbon zone Middle Jurassic "Biggada" intersected from 2,502 meters to 2,537 meters measured depth (2,386 meters to 2,419 meters true vertical depth subsea). The evaluation will include pressure sampling and sidewall coring.

Further log data including pressure data is required to determine the nature of the hydrocarbon shows and reservoir quality. Upon completion of the logging program the well will be plugged and abandoned as planned. The next wells in the program will be Toobada-1 (WA-192-P, Tap 13.7723%) and Montgomery-1 (WA-149-P, Tap 22.474%), the order and timing of which will be subject to sea state and weather conditions.

Harriet Joint Venture Participants are Apache as operator with 68.5%; Kufpec Australia Pty Ltd with 19.2771% and Tap Oil with 12.2229%.
