EnCore reports that Sterling Resources Ltd, the operator of the Breagh appraisal well on Southern North Sea block 42/13, has announced that the well has reached target depth having successfully encountered good sands in the upper reservoir with significant gas shows. This is consistent with the 1997 discovery well. EnCore has a 15% interest in the license.

Alan Booth, EnCore Oil's CEO, commented:

"The results of drilling so far are highly encouraging. The key to unlocking Breagh is to demonstrate sufficient productivity to establish commercial flow rates in future development wells. We are looking forward to the results of this all important test in a few weeks time."

Graham Dore B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology and M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology and EnCore's Exploration Director, who has over 20 years' experience in the oil exploration and production industry, has reviewed and approved the technical information contained in this announcement.
