New CEO for Badger Explorer Subsidiary
Badger Explorer has appointed Stig Hetlevik as chief executive of its Badger Plasma Technology AS subsidiary.
Hetlevik has worked in the oil and offshore industry since the early 1980s, and has substantial technological and management experience of drilling and well activities from a number of Norwegian and international oil companies.
Age 49, Hetlevik was one of the founders in 2005 of Offshore Rig Services - now part of Awilco Offshore ASA - and has experience from Prosafe, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, Saga Petroleum and Schlumberger.
Badger Explorer was included on the Oslo Stock Exchange's Oslo Axess list in mid-June, and has two business areas. The first of these covers development of a revolutionary method/tool for petroleum exploration. In addition, the company has an exclusive license to exploit the patented plasma channel drilling (PCD) technique.
