South Hook LNG Confirms Incident at Milford Haven

A spokesperson for South Hook LNG said:

"It is with deep regret that we can confirm an individual, employed by a sub contractor, lost his life following an incident on a jack up barge working alongside the jetty on Saturday October 6, 2007, at the South Hook LNG Terminal in Milford Haven, South West Wales.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family.

We can confirm that all the other individuals on the barge are accounted for and are safe.

The relevant authorities are in attendance at the scene and an investigation is underway."

The Dyfed-Powys Police say that the body has been recovered however, an official identification has not yet taken place. The police and Health and Safety Executive investigation continues.
