TARA Hires New VP of International Business Development

Texas American Resources-Asia (TARA), an affiliate of Texas American Resources-Austin, Texas, announced the appointment of Bryan Yam to Vice President of International Business Development.

Yam has 30 years international business experience, having most recently worked for Kerr-McGee. In 1992, he joined Kerr-McGee starting its China, Thailand and Indonesia ventures. Seven Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) were signed in China and two in Thailand. Prior to Kerr-McGee, Yam worked for NL-Shaffer as the Asia Pacific Regional Services Manager in Southeast Asia and Australia.

Headquartered in Beijing, Texas American Resources-Asia, Ltd's ("TARA") principal assets consist of two blocks in the Pearl River Area of the South China Sea, making TARA the first privately-held company to have assets in the South China Sea. In total, TARA's offshore blocks encompass approximately 4.5 million acres.

Yam will be responsible for generating new business opportunities throughout the Asia Pacific Region, including asset acquisitions and new ventures. He will be based in the Shekou Operations office in southern China.
