Wood Group Wins National Business Award
Wood Group won the Hymans Robertson Business of the Year award at the 2007 National Business Awards for Scotland held in Glasgow on September 13th. The award was in recognition of its delivery of record results in 2006. This comes after winning the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade for a second time and receiving the Scottish Engineering President's Award for outstanding achievement.

"We are proud to be associated with such successful Scottish business talent and congratulate all the winners on achieving this fantastic accolade."
The UK's leading offshore contractor and major international energy services firm, Wood Group beat out heavy competition from two-time winner MediaCom Scotland, Monster Scotland, Petroleum Experts and Petrotechnics. The company's record results in 2006 earned the award: revenues grew by 26 per cent to $3,468.8m and EBITA grew 44 per cent to $215.1m, while staff numbers grew by 25 per cent to 20,000.
