Deep Ocean Names Newest Support Vessel

DeepOcean's new build vessel, the Cygnus, which is being built in partnership with Volstad Maritime is due to be launched in early 2009. The Cygnus will form part of the fleet operated by DeepOceanís subsidiary CTC Marine Projects. As a multi-role support vessel, it will complement CTCís comprehensive trenching asset base and incorporate cable, umbilical and flexible product lay capabilities.

This vessel is the second to be constructed by Volstad for CTC and follows the Volantis, which is due for entry into operation in early 2008 as part of an advanced trenching spread.

Jake Tompkins, CTCís Business Development Director commented, "The addition of the Cygnus to our fleet will provide CTCís markets with additional capacity and enhanced operational capability."
