The consolidation means that renowned safety training provider RGIT Montrose, and emergency response and crisis management specialist Rubicon Response, will be known under the single name of Petrofac Training.
The move to a single brand was initiated following extensive research and is designed to simplify the brand structure within the training business.
The roots of the company come from within industry itself and, through its predecessors; Petrofac Training has an impressive track record spanning almost three decades. Thirty years on and the business is still renowned for delivering the OPITO-approved Basic Offshore Safety and Induction Training course, known by many simply as ‘the RGIT’.
The re-brand has also enabled the business to more readily explain its increasing range of solutions that are designed to develop competency and minimize risk within organizations; ranging from the delivery of a single training course through to the management of the training and competence of a customer’s entire workforce.
Leigh Howarth, managing director, Petrofac Training, said the single brand was a significant and extremely positive step for the future development of Petrofac Training.
"We are proud of our heritage and history," he said. "Petrofac Training has been known in the market by several names but its vision to improve safety and competence within the energy industry has never wavered. As a truly integrated business, Petrofac Training plans to build on the attributes that have always set the company apart from its peers, as it continues on its growth journey."
