Eight Attend 3rd Q&A Session for KMZ System Modernization

Eight companies attended the third question-and-answer session hosted by Mexican state oil company Pemex's E&P unit (PEP) for a contract to upgrade various installations on the Ku-Maloob-Zaap field in the Sonda de Campeche.

Specifically, the contract entails the automatization and modernization of the digital monitoring system for the installations, according to tender documents on federal procurement website Compranet.

The companies are: Emerson Process Management; Demar Instaladora y Constructora; Invensys Systems Mexico; Constructora Subacuatica Diavaz; ABB Mexico; Automation and Control Solutions; Suministros Industriales Carrizales; and Constructora y Prestadora de Servicios Tecnicos.

Five companies which had not purchased bidding rules attended the meeting.

Although they did not attend the meeting, another eight companies have purchased bidding rules to date: Endress Hauser Mexico; Telvent Mexico; Siemens Innovaciones; Alcatel Security Safety Command Controls Mexico; Sociedad Industrial De Construcciones Electricas; Instalaciones Electromecanicas Civiles y Electricas; Grupo Comercializador Latinoamericano; and Automatizacion y Control Industrial y Marino.

The fourth meeting to clarify project questions is scheduled to take place on September 7.

Interested parties can acquire bidding rules through September 26.

Works are expected to begin November 12 and require 351 days to complete.
