Paradigm Opens New Office in Nigeria
Paradigm will open a new office in Lagos, Nigeria, in time for the NAPE show in Lagos in mid-November 2002. The office is located on Victoria Island, in close proximity to all oil and gas companies currently operating in the country.
The office will contain a service center for providing Trace-to-Target(TM) Integrated Services, including time-to-depth migrations, and will also offer sales and customer support. Located in a central location, the office will serve all the major multinational oil companies in Nigeria and neighboring countries, as well as over 70 indigenous companies.
The decision to establish a dedicated office in Nigeria is a result of the significant success Paradigm has had in recent years in the Nigerian oil and gas E&P industry. Use of Paradigm solutions, such as the VoxelGeo(R) volume-based interpretation system and the Explorer(TM) time-to-depth conversion tool, is becoming increasingly widespread, as customers discover the advantages of Paradigm's integrated product suites. These provide a seamless workflow, from seismic data processing, interpretation and visualization through to reservoir characterization and drilling engineering. The expertise of Paradigm's support staff and its partnership approach to working with its customers, as demonstrated in its high-level, on-site support, has resulted in increased customer confidence in the accuracy and reliability of the interpreted data, as well as an appreciation of the enhancements in efficiency.
Robert Bakre, Local Director of Paradigm Nigeria, stated, "Paradigm's state-of-the-art software solutions and services add immense value to the search for hydrocarbons, by increasing productivity and reducing costs. Expanding the knowledge base of local teams using our leading-edge technologies and expertise, will benefit both the Nigerian oil and gas industry and all of the companies operating in the region. We at Paradigm are proud to be taking part in this effort."
