Heritage Reports Incident in Uganda
Heritage Oil confirms an incident overnight in the offshore portion of Block 3A, Uganda, in which a member of the sub-contract seismic crew was killed.
We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life and our sincere thoughts and wishes are with the family of the deceased and other personnel involved. A full investigation is underway and all appropriate authorities have been informed and are involved. We are co-operating fully with the investigation.
We do not anticipate that this incident will impact on the schedule for drilling of the Kingfisher-2 well. Seismic operations in Block 1 also continue unchanged.
