GGS Appoints Jan Kildal as Interim CFO
Geo Services ASA has engaged Jan Kildal as interim CFO to lead the ongoing process of strengthening the company's accounting and reporting procedures.
Jan Kildal is currently working as CEO of Standard Drilling ASA and as Executive President of Ferncliff TIH, a company owned by Oystein Stray Spetalen. Stray Spetalen is a member of the Board of Directors in Global Geo Services. Kildal has previously worked as CEO in Hurtigruten and as CFO in Norske Skog and Orkla. Kildal will hold his current positions during the period as interim CFO of Global Geo Services.
The Company has been requested by the Oslo Stock Exchange to explain the actions and considerations leading to the auditor's qualifications regarding the 2005 and 2006 Financial Statements, as well as the actions taken and/or planned to ensure that the company in the future will comply with applicable legislation and generally accepted accounting and information principles.
Global Geo Services will report the results for the second quarter of 2007 on August 31st.
