Black Rock Finds Oil at Acacia Este in Colombia

Black Rock Oil & Gas reports that the Acacia Este exploration well in the Las Quinchas Association Contract in Colombia reached a total depth of 3,970 feet. Fair to good oil shows were encountered while drilling the target Lower Mugrosa Formation.

Preliminary interpretation of the logs run at total depth indicates oil saturation in good quality porous sandstones. These initial results are very encouraging and preparation for testing of the well has now commenced in order to assess the well's potential productivity. Results of the testing should be known in approximately 10-20 days time.

Dr John Cubitt, Managing Director of Black Rock Oil & Gas Plc, commented:

"The results of the drilling to date are very encouraging and if the testing results are positive, Acacia Este could be a highly significant discovery for Black Rock."
