Govt Extends Magallanes E&P Tender Deadlines

Chile's government has delayed the date to August 9 from July 10 for companies to acquire term sheets for 10 hydrocarbons blocks in the Magallanes basin, the mining ministry said in a statement.

The ministry delayed the date due to high international interest in the tenders.

Further, the ministry has delayed the timeframe to acquire technical information to August 9 from July 30.

Bidders must submit offers by October 10 in time for the November 15 announcement of awards. The government aims to sign contracts in December, BNamericas previously reported.

Winners will sign special operating contracts with the government that will run up to 35 years, including a maximum 25-year production phase.
