Statoil to Drill 15/6-9B Sidetrack with the West Epsilon

Statoil has been granted consent by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority to carry out exploration drilling in well 15/6-9 with the West Epsilon. The consent applies to drilling a sidetrack in well 15/6-9B, which is part of production license 303 and lies in the southern North Sea. Water depth at the site is 113 meters MSL. The drilling has started and is expected to last for approximately 15 days.

The West Epsilon is operated by Seadrill and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in February 2003.
