Pemex Requests Olmos Sur 3D Permit

Mexican state oil company Pemex's E&P unit Pemex Exploracion y Produccion is requesting a permit to acquire 3D seismic data on the Burgos-Muzquiz project's Olmos Sur block, according to an official gazette posting.

Exploration would cover 325km2 and help better define subsurface structures with the ultimate aim of increasing hydrocarbons output from the Olmos block.

Local landowners and residents have 30 days from the posting to present the energy ministry with any objections to the work.
