MCS Continues Drive to Expand Global Software Business
MCS has made significant investments in its award-winning software division over the past 12 months and anticipates further investment throughout 2007.
As part of the company-wide strategy to double in size and capture a significant share of the growing global subsea market, MCS is broadening its suite of software products with offerings such as IRIS-RMS, DeepLand, PipeLay and VIVOL and continues to expand its software team to reflect the increasing demand for the company's solutions.
New senior appointment Robert Bayes will play an integral part in this growth strategy.
With more than 20 years experience as a sales professional, Mr. Bayes will further develop the MCS software business in the Gulf of Mexico.
Based in Houston, he joins MCS from ANSYS, INC where he was sales manager overseeing a sales team in Texas. He has held senior positions in GSE Process Systems, Batchcad Ltd, Texas Microsystems and was a design engineer with Synercom Technology.

MCS currently employs more than 160 people in six offices spread over four continents. The company's software department was named ICT Company of the Year at the prestigious Information Technology Association Galway (ITAG) Industry Awards 2006. The accolade is awarded to a firm in recognition of excellence in all aspects of their business, including product/service development, sales and marketing, implementation and support, market growth and positioning and human resource development.
MCS is headquartered in Galway, with offices in Aberdeen, Houston, Paris, Perth Australia and Rio de Janeiro.
