Milligan, who will be based at Knight's corporate headquarters in Broussard, La., will be responsible for establishing a unified Quality Management System (QMS).
The QMS system, Milligan said, is designed to empower employees at all levels to take responsibility and ownership of all processes for the ongoing improvement of the Knight Companies nationwide.
"Our goal is to establish a proactive-preventive action system," Milligan said. "We will proactively identify customer issues and work with executive management to implement strategic initiatives for customer satisfaction and continuous quality improvement."
Milligan has more than 32 years of experience in the petrochemical, oil, automotive and manufacturing industries, most recently as president of Advanced System Dynamics Inc.
He also has implemented and achieved American Petroleum Institute (API) and ASQ/ ISO 9001:2000 certifications for 45 corporations worldwide.
Focused on providing "zero failure" equipment and service for 35 years, Knight Oil Tools has grown to include Knight Fishing Services, Well Services and Manufacturing. The company is the largest privately held rental and fishing tools business in the oil and gas industry. Knight has an extensive inventory of high-quality products necessary for safe, efficient and productive oilfield projects.
Knight's 20 locations across seven oil-producing states serve all phases of an oil well's life cycle from exploration to abandonment.
