Pertra Awarded Equity in Norwegian Sea License

When the APA 2006 licenses were awarded in January 2007, Norway's Ministry of Petroleum and Energy announced that 10 additional licenses would be awarded later this year. The ministry announced the postponed awards Thursday.

Pertra was awarded a 20% share in Block 6608/7. The license is operated by DNO, and contains a Paleocene prospect. The other license partners are Petro-Canada and Noreco. The initial period is six years, and the decision to drill or relinquish the license has to be made within three years.
