Bennett Joins Expro's Board
Bennett, 60, joins the Expro Board having served as Group Finance Director of Northern Rock PLC, a position he held from 1993 until his retirement on 31st January 2007. Prior to that, he held a variety of general management positions, including General Manager of Finance and Estates of the Leeds Permanent Building Society and Chief Accountant of the National Coal Board.
Bennett is currently a non-executive director and Audit Committee Chairman of Greggs PLC, a non-executive director of Redrow PLC and a trustee of the Northern Rock pension scheme.
Bennett is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICEAW), a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants (CIPFA).
Tim Eggar will be standing down as a non-executive director at the AGM on July 5, 2007. Eggar has decided not to seek re-election as a non executive director as he wishes to expand his other business interests.
Commenting on these changes, Chris Fay, Chairman of Expro said: "We are delighted to welcome Bob to the Board. He has had an outstanding career in finance, which included the successful flotation of Northern Rock PLC in 1997, and he brings valuable experience to Expro. I am confident that he will complement the skills of the Board and make a major contribution to Expro. Finally, I would also like to thank Tim for his contribution to Expro over the last three years."
