Pipeline Incident in Trinidad Kills One, Injures Two

One person was killed and two others were injured when a 12-inch gas pipeline ruptured on the Trinmar Platform 21 in the Soldado Field offshore Trinidad and Tobago. Ricardo Felix died from serious burns while undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Richard Phillip received injuries to his left arm and legs, and Kirk Peters suffered injuries to his chest and legs. They are both now patients at the San Fernando General Hospital.

State-owned Petrotrin, parent company to Trinmar, said the incident occurred at 11.06 a.m. An investigation has already started to determine the cause of the accident.
