April production, however, increased to 3,821b/d "following a number of successful well intervention operations during the first quarter," the company said, citing work in the Campo Rico and Vigia fields.
"We are very pleased with the enhanced production in Colombia following workover activities and look forward to additional production from the latest Campo Rico development well," company CEO Angus MacAskill said.
Emerald Energy has seven properties in Colombia, including Maranta, Ombu, Helen and Jacaranda, which it has won in the last year.
The company is planning seismic acquisitions for 3Q07 in time for drilling by 2008.
