ProAnalysis Names Alfheim CEO
Alfheim, 48, who is leaving the position as Vice President section Bjorge Metering (formerly Holta & Haland Metering AS) with Bjorge ASA, was educated at the University of Bergen. With his 20 years' experience in the international oil & gas instrumentation sector, he has developed and managed one of the largest instrumentation companies in the industry. Alfheim assumes the leadership of a highpotential company at the take-off stage for internationalization of its new Oil-in-Water monitoring technology.
Alfheim commented: "The level of water produced with the oil and gas is an ever-growing challenge for oil production worldwide. In a climate of stringent global environmental restrictions and more focus on automating offshore work processes, tools like online Oil in Water monitors will be increasingly important to operators. I look forward to bringing this technology to the international market, and building a strong company with operations worldwide."
Jarle Skeidsvoll, 40, founder of ProAnalysis and its CEO for 10 years, will enter the position as Chief Technology Officer in charge of research, development and product maintenance.
Uta Stoltenberg, Investment Manager of Statoil Innovation (the largest shareholder of ProAnalysis), said: "With a technology currently in high demand in the market, Skeidsvoll has taken ProAnalysis from an idea to a fast-growing company on the edge of success. His perseverance and positive attitude have been crucial in this process. We are grateful for his dedication and achievements, and are very pleased that he stays with the company to ensure further innovation and growth."
