Harriett Joint Venture Spuds Endymion-1 Well

The Endymion-1 exploration well was spudded on October 5, 2002 by the Ensco 56 jackup. The well is being drilled as a deviated well from the existing Sinbad production platform in license TL/l offshore Australia.

The well has drilled to a depth of 908 meters measured depth (822.4 meters true vertical depth subsea) and will continue to drill ahead to the planned total depth of 3,600 meters measured depth (2,087 meters true vertical depth subsea) which is expected to take approximately nine days.

The Endymion prospect comprises a Simpson style mounded trap at top Flag Sandstone level approximately 2.4 kilometers to the south of the Sinbad Gas Field. If successful, Endymion-1 will be immediately brought into production using the existing Sinbad platform and pipelines to Varanus Island.

Partners in the Harriet Joint Venture are Apache as operator with 68.5%; Kufpec Australia Pty Ltd with 19.27715 and Tap Oil Limited with the remaining 12.2229%.
