TransAtlantic Reports Delay in South Gillock Testing

TransAtlantic Petroleum Corp. late Friday announced that testing of the SGU #96 well on the Company's South Gillock property in Galveston County, Texas, has been delayed.

Completion difficulties have been encountered due to the high-pressure environment at total depth and the Company is working carefully to overcome these challenges. The Company now anticipates it will be early May before it has initial test results.

TransAtlantic is engaged in the exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the United States and in Romania, Morocco, Turkey and the U.K. North Sea.
