Pemex Output Returning to Normal
Thursday, September 26, 2002
Pemex said production from its offshore platforms should resume at normal levels by Friday. Operations had been halted due to Tropical storm Isidore. The company estimates that it lost approximately 1.3 million barrels per day of crude output since Sunday's evacuation. The offshore workers that were evacuated have begun returning to their rigs and platforms. Pemex will begin exports once Gulf of Mexico facilities re-open.
