Noble Energy Gets License to Explore Cameroon Gas
YAOUNDE, Cameroon, Apr 18, 2007 (Dow Jones News)
Noble Energy Inc. has acquired a natural gas exploration license in the West African nation of Cameroon, Noble Energy Chief Executive Charles Davidson told a news conference in Yaounde Wednesday.
"This exploration could start by the third quarter of 2007," Davidson said after a meeting with Cameroonian President Paul Biya at the country's state palace.
Davidson said the company will explore the Gulf of Guinea located off Cameroon's coast.
He didn't provide further details.
