Hindustan Oil Makes Logs Pay at Deva-1
Hindustan Oil has encountered hydrocarbons at the Deva-1 exploration well located in block CB-ON-7. Deva-1 well has been plugged and the prospect would need further appraisal before establishing discovery potential.
Hindustan Oil is the operator of Block CB-ON-7 and holds 50% participating interest during the exploration phase. Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (Licensee) are the consortium partners.
This exploration block is located on the eastern flank of the Bharuch depression in south Gujarat and covers an area of about 369 sq. km. The block was awarded in a pre-NELP round.
