Rio Negro to Launch Third Tender Round April 16

The government of Argentina's Rio Negro province will launch on April 16 the third tender round for the exploration of hydrocarbons blocks, the provincial government said in a statement.

The provincial hydrocarbons department has begun the administrative process to launch the tender round for exploration permits and will begin selling bidding rules and technical information on April 16.

The tender will include six blocks in the Neuquen basin: Angostura, Blanco de los Olivos Oriental, Catriel Viejo Sur, Cerro Chato, Puesto Guevara and Tres Nidos Sur.

The province had planned to tender the areas Cordoba, El Cuy and Meseta Baya - which were tendered in the second round, but did not receive bids - but ultimately decided against it, an official in the hydrocarbons department told BNamericas.
