Pemex Launches Sonda de Campeche Rig Tender

BNamericas

Mexican state oil company Pemex's E&P unit, Pemex Exploracion y Produccion, has launched an international tender to supply a light drill rig for the Sonda de Campeche marine region.

The Yaxche-B self-elevating rig will operate in the area of the same name and drill four wells, according to bidding rules.

Pemex discovered the Yaxche field in 1993 with the drilling of exploratory well Yaxche-1, which returned production grade oil and gas. The well is plugged.

Bidding rules will be available through May 15 with technical and economic bids to be opened May 23.

The winner will have 210 days starting July 2 to supply the rig.
