ANH to Launch Bidding for 6 E&P Blocks

Colombia's hydrocarbons agency ANH will launch bidding this month for hydrocarbons E&P in six blocks covering the Llanos Orientales, Putumayo and the upper Magdalena River valley areas, the agency said in a statement.

Specifically, ANH will publish the terms of reference and bidding information in early April.

Interested companies must submit expressions of interest in April. ANH will publish the list of qualified bidders in May in time to award contracts at end-June.

In general, Colombia awards E&P licenses to companies offering the most comprehensive and ambitious E&P plan.

ANH granted more than 30 E&P contracts in 2006.
