Three Killed in Brazilian Pipeline Explosion

Three Petrobras workers were killed late Sunday when a 12-inch natural gas pipeline leading from a well to a processing plant exploded. A Petrobras spokesperson said the explosion occurred near the town of Candeias and closed a nearby processing plant. There was no damage to the processing plant. The processing plant has a capacity of 2.9 million cubic meters of gas per day will probably be closed for another 20 days. The cause of the blast is still unknown, however, an investigation is underway.
