BJ has already provided computerized drive prediction analysis on the conductors for Devon Energy. The operation, which is scheduled to commence this month, is being supported by BJ Tubular Services personnel from its operations bases in Macae, Brazil, and Lafayette, Louisiana. BJ anticipates operations will be completed in early April 2007.
Since entering the Brazilian market in 1999, BJ Tubular Services has been extremely active providing casing and tubing running services, including the first application of its specialized hydraulic hammer conductor and caisson driving services in Brazil. In 2000 and 2001, BJ Tubular Services carried out casing and tubing running services, and hammer conductor-driving services on a number of wells using its hydraulic hammers in northern Brazil.
"In view of our ongoing efforts to expand BJ's hammer services market globally, we are extremely pleased to be delivering hammer conductor-driving services in Brazil for Devon Energy," said Kenny Watt, division manager of BJ Tubular Services. "I attribute our success in Brazil to the effectiveness and safety of the services delivered with our global hammer technology, and to the experience and commitment of our expanding hammer services service personnel," he added.
BJ Tubular Services specializes in personnel and equipment for running casing and tubing, particularly premium connections, high chrome-content tubulars, dual, triple and subsea completions, as well as hydraulic hammer conductor and caisson-driving services. The division is known throughout the world for its innovative technology.
