"What made an MBO possible is the fact that C2C was a non-core business unit of Blue Fox and that they (Blue Fox) wish to focus and expand within their core industry" Du Plessis said. Blue Fox is a provider of integrated software solutions for the textile & apparel industry as well as a distributor of CAD/CAM software for engineering applications and supplies CAD/GIS solutions for government institutions.
"Exiting Blue Fox makes no material change to the C2C operations and its continued financial stability" says Du Plessis. "What does make a significant difference is our choice in partners who will not only participate in the company as shareholders but who will also make a significant contribution to the growth and development of C2C".
Du Plessis continued to say that "C2C will join forces with Evolution Satellite, an Inmarsat distribution partner. This combined effort will strengthen our mutual position in the market place and it will provide our customers with a more comprehensive bouquet of products and services. C2C will, in addition to this, extend its geographical reach and presence within its traditional markets as well as within new markets. Sub-Saharan Africa, for example, has been and still is a major market for C2C and due to opportunity and business uptake we will roll out a physical presence in South Africa in March of this year".
"One should also not forget our customers and we thank them for their support and custom through the years. Without our customers we would have been unable to go to the next level as we are doing now. We pledge, as always, our continued commitment to providing the quality services our customers have become accustomed to. Whilst security and confidentiality are critical keystones in our business we will maintain our open book policy on our conduct and service options. We invite customers to join us in our new venture and to explore the new opportunities with us." Du Plessis said in closing.
