AGR Drilling, headquartered in Straume, near Bergen, is one of the three business divisions with AGR Group, the Norway-based oil technology and services group, responsible for the supply of innovative equipment and services for offshore drilling and well operations. The equipment includes AGR's Riserless Mud Recovery (RMR) technology, that, with its cost saving, safety and environmental benefits, is helping to transform the way offshore wells are drilled worldwide.
Mr. Aldal, aged 44, who joined AGR earlier this month, received his higher education at Bergen College of Engineering and Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He has more than 18 years of business experience, mainly within management, engineering and construction. Prior to joining Bergen Engineering, Mr. Aldal was Vice President, Technical Services, with Prosafe Drilling Services AS where, for a period, he was responsible for Consafe Baku in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Andersen, aged 42, was educated at Bergen University and Handelshoyskolen BI, Bergen, where he gained a Master of Management Degree. Before joining KCA Deutag Drilling Norge, Mr Andersen was Vice President, Human Resources with Rolls-Royce Marine AS. He, too, previously worked for Prosafe Drilling Services AS, as Education Manager and then Human Resources Manager.
